Holy Family OCIA

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults), formerly RCIA, begins on Wednesdays in September at 7:00 pm in the Pastoral Center. For more information, please get in touch with the Holy Family Parish office or the Holy Family OCIA Coordinator, Dc. Joe Assaf, at jassaf@syrdio.org.

Jesus promised, “Whoever believes in Me... rivers of living water will flow from within him,” (John 7:37-38); and “I came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly,” (John 10:10)

The OCIA process begins with the journey of faith that leads to the fulfillment of our Lord’s promises. It is a program intended for adults who meet any of the following descriptions:

1. Have never received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, or Jesus in the Eucharist and desire to.

2. Have been baptized in a non-Catholic faith tradition but desire full communion in the Roman Catholic Church upon receiving Confirmation and Jesus in the Eucharist.

3. Are already baptized Catholic and still need to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and/or Eucharist.

4. Are already Catholic or non-Catholic Christians and desire to learn more about the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.
