Each Confirmation Candidate is required to complete 10 hours of service each year during their process of preparing to receive the Sacrament.
These service activities can be anything from helping at a local charity or service project to helping rack leaves, mow lawns, or shovel snow in your neighborhood.
This year we are also implementing Spiritual Service hours. These activities include any type of spiritual prayer activity you serve your family, friends, or community with. For example, leading a family bible study or rosary. Inviting family and friends to pray a holy hour in the presence of the blessed Sacrament (and also attending with them), or bringing a new person you know to a church event or service for their first time (like Mass, Life Teen, Bible Study groups, etc.).
Those are just a few examples of some ideas that you can take part in this year as part of your confirmation service hour requirements.
